Emerging technologies are either in development or have not been deployed at scale to accelerate the transition to a Net Zero and Nature Positive economy. In either case, they are seen as capable of changing the status quo, disrupting entire industries, and creating socio-economic impact. Green hydrogen, nuclear fusion, carbon capture, and quantum computing are commonly cited examples. This theme is a workstream of the Villars Institute.
